To begin your child’s residential journey with SAAH, please seek assistance from a social worker of the Social Service Agency your child receives service from, or the Medical Social Work Department in public healthcare institutions, in submitting your application to SG Enable. Meanwhile, you may download the application form here. Acceptance to SAAH is subject to the assessment of suitability and vacancies.
What does it take?
- Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Citizen (either one immediate family must be a Singaporean)
- Between 18 and 55 years old
- Primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) / Intellectual Disability (ID)
- Ambulant (to move about with minimal assistance)
- Able to participate in activities of daily living (ADL)
- Does not require close individual supervision or extensive nursing care
Assessment by our psychologist and therapist, doctor’s review and home visits are required as part of application processing, and could take up to 10 weeks. For more details on the supporting documents required, you may refer to the application form.
